R.T.L.M. Tape 0022—Extract
Speaker: Ananie NKURUNZIZA, Journalist for R.T.L.M.
On 27 May, after Senegal, Ghana and Ethiopia, Zimbabwe too has consented to send its troops to join the other Unamir forces expected [here]. As we have realized, it will be some time before they come, which is why no Rwandan, among those who have faith in the Republic, should expect any assistance from them. Instead, those of you who have faith in the Republic, stand up so that we may continue to kill the Inyenzi.
On the same day, Museveni was in Vienna, in Austria, where he openly denied his involvement in the Rwandan War. On the same occasion, journalists bombarded him with many questions and showed him facts that prove that he is involved in the Rwandan War. But when he loft Vienna, Austria, and arrived in Oslo, Norway, he openly admitted that his soldiers, the Ugandan troops, were fighting alongside the Inkotanyi. I do not know whether we have made ourselves clear on this issue; why did Museveni first deny that he is fighting alongside the Inkotanyi but subsequently admitted it?
